A steel manufacturing unit was looking to automate its bulk material handling, and facilitate multi-directional movements for its Main Hoist (MH), Auxiliary Hoist (AH), Cross Travel (CT) and Long Travel (LT) cranes.
Implementation
- Deployed SINAMIC S120 VFDs for MH, AH, CT and LT to ensure speed control and smooth operation on load
- Commissioned using SINAMIC STARTER
Outcome
- Enabled easy pickup and placement of bulk material at required speed and position
- Ensured reliable operation and maintenance
- Maintained torque and speed accuracy on load
