International Women’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. The first National Woman’s Day was observed in the United States on 28 February 1909. The theme for International Women’s Day (8 March) this year, “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change”, puts innovation by women and girls, for women and girls, at the heart of efforts to achieve gender equality.
Our enthusiastic HR Department had organised some wonderful surprises to recognise and appreciate the contributions of women in Cotmac. All the beautiful ladies were welcomed with a useful gift and a charming brooch being pinned on them, and the not-to-be-missed cake that all of them cut and enjoyed.
