Airport Baggage Automation
Upgrading the baggage handling capabilities of an existing terminal to manage higher volume of baggage and reduce the turnaround time for collection of passenger luggage as well.
Implementation
- Provided design assistance in ePLAN
- Performed pre-commissioning and commissioning tests
- First power up and IO testing
- Functional tests of the operating components
- Operational tests of the whole system in manual and auto modes
- Performance tests included performing IOs, functional and operational tests in presence of the end-user/owner of the system
- Provided after-commissioning service and support
Outcome
- Developed capability to handle a large volume of baggage at high speeds
- Enabled accurate data & tracking of baggage on the entire conveyor for monitoring and transparency
